Chasing Dreams Print E-mail

Chasing Dreams Sharks are normally pretty tough to get close to, but in the right conditions, they come close!

Here a Grey Reef Shark was swimming in between a group of divers in the Tuamotu Archipelago, French Polynesia.

The cheeky diver in the background tried to pull the sharks tail (fortunately missing), which made the shark bolt for the blue, i happened to be in between and managed to capture this image with my 10.5mm fisheye lens. The halo around the head of the shark is a little over-exposed, but i think it does not detract from the image too much

The Story Behind...

Anthias Portrait These little 'goldfish' are always on the move, and very tough to shoot! It requires a lot of patience and pig-headedness to stay with one subject for the majority of your dive.  This was shot in the Northern Redsea and was one of about 50 images i took of these fish.

Hyla bifurca Sailing into the Atoll of To'au at dawn when the weather is flat calm is an absolute pleasure, I took this image as the sun was creeping over the horizon on one of the few occasions we saw another boat at this wonderful location.
