Anthias Portrait These little 'goldfish' are always on the move, and very tough to shoot! It requires a lot of patience and pig-headedness to stay with one subject for the majority of your dive.  This was shot in the Northern Redsea and was one of about 50 images i took of these fish.

 Getting the blue background required a slow shutter speed and a steady hand but i think it was worth it.

 The Red Sea is famous for its blue water and masses of Anthias

The Story Behind...

Hammerheads! This picture of Scalloped Hammerheads (Sphyrna lewini) was shot in Cocos Island, Costa Rica.  We were having a bad week for hammerheads, and hadn't seen many, but fortunately I found this group by wandering off on my own at a divesite called Alcyone.

Hyla bifurca This little Tree Frog Hyla bifurca was photographed in the upper Amazon, Ecuador. To get close to these critters i had to stand in knee to waist deep water that had baby Caimans and possible Anacondas in there!
