Bali Bali Bali!

The month of May was spent getting to know Bali, travelling to Sanur, Tulamben, Pemuteran, Gili Trawangen and Nusa Lembongan. I saw and experienced many new things during my first time in Bali, and hopefully got some not-half-bad pictures!

The start of May found myself spending my first few days in a new location for me; Bali.  Bali is situated in the middle of the Indonesian Archipelago and is famous for it's surfing beaches, Hindu Culture and  relaxing resorts around the island.

I spent most of my time based out of Sanur, and headed off to varying locations from there.

The first place i headed to was Tulamben, specifically Scuba Seraya Resort.  I was diving with Bali Hai Diving Adventures, a great outfit with fantastic guides.

In this area i had a few 'first times' for me, Harlequin Shrimp, Hairy Squat lobster and  Boxer Crab - you will notice that they are all invertebrates! This is a muck diving mecca, in particular the divesite called Seraya Secrets.  It is a very seasonal sloping reef strewn with fine black sand and the occasional rubble patch.
