This picture of Scalloped Hammerheads ( Sphyrna lewini) was shot in Cocos Island, Costa Rica. We were having a bad week for hammerheads, and hadn't seen many, but fortunately I found this group by wandering off on my own at a divesite called Alcyone. |

These little 'goldfish' are always on the move, and very tough to shoot! It requires a lot of patience and pig-headedness to stay with one subject for the majority of your dive. This was shot in the Northern Redsea and was one of about 50 images i took of these fish. |

Simon started working as a videographer and photographer back in 2002, and since then has lived and worked in the Maldives, Philippines, Palau, Tahiti, Mexico and Indonesia. He is a Diving Instructor, MCA Commercial 200ton+ Master Captain, also holds various other Engineering/Boating certifications, and studied Marine Biology/Zoology at the University of Liverpool, UK. Simon is currently based in Lembeh, North Sulawesi where he is the General Manager for PT. Bakri Cono Indonesia, and acting manager at NAD Lembeh Resort, and a Field Editor for Scubadiver AustralAsia. He speaks fluent Indonesian, and leads tours throughout Indonesia, taking his clients to the best and most special places in the Region.
For Simon the underwater realm is a sacred place, as such he spends a lot of time diving to find inner peace. During his time underwater he almost always has his camera accompanying him. Currently Simon trusts Nauticam Housings for his still photographic equipment along with Sealux Video Housing for his Video Camera. |
