Welcome to www.buxtonphotographic.com, the website of Simon Buxton. Simon has spent the last 5 years working in various capacities on SCUBA Diving Liveaboards. Simon started working as a videographer and photographer back in 2002, and since then has lived and worked in the Maldives, Philippines, Palau, Tahiti and Mexico. He is a PADI and TDI/SDI Diving Instructor, MCA Commercial 200ton Master Captain, also holds various other Engineering/Boating certifications, and studied Marine Biology/Zoology at the University of Liverpool, UK. Simon has left the day-to-day diving industry to pursue a career as a photographer and webdesigner, bringing together his experiences from many different fields to provide a unique service for his clients. |

Harlequin Shrimp
The Harlequin Shrimp (Hymenocera elegans) is a highly colourful shrimp which predates on Starfish, the large, somewhat useless pincers (chelipeds) are mainly used for display.
